This Short Hills, New Jersey home is another project by talented designer Michelle Gerson that is mostly toned down in the colour palette (with one exception as you will easily spot below) but again has a bit of an art deco feel. In this home Michelle took more of an understated elegant approach. Still loving it!
It's almost de rigueur to have a pool in Australia. Well if not a strict rule then a definite want. The idea of spilling out of an open plan family living/dining/kitchen area to an al fresco entertaining space beside a pool is top of our wish list. My wish list would be complete if there was also a heritage building attached. An inner-city Sydney suburb would sweeten the deal. Something a little like this Paddington house. I don't even have to live in the house. Perhaps they'll let me take up residence in the studio at the end of the garden. Link here while it lasts.

This Boston Victorian designed by Michelle Gerson is elegant and luxurious with some bold statements in Hollywood Regency, art deco fashion. Like the kitchen. Agreeably not for everyone but if Michelle's client was after some drama, she sure delivered!! And that dining room is absolutely stunning.
Shaped almost like a child's drawing of a house these two pavilions have been positioned to take advantage of the views and the sunlight, providing that all important connection between inside and out. The buildings may be clean lined and minimal in their shape but the interiors are warm and welcoming, overflowing with bright light and I'm guessing cooling breezes when they arise. Contemporary Spanish living at its best by ÁBATON.
