Like salted caramel. Luscious and rich. Morish. An adult space layered with texture, carefully strewn with objet d'art, the luxe and somewhat foppish countered by the industrial and abstract nature of the artworks. An elegant, masculine home. I am obsessed with vignettes. I could spend my days making vignettes all over my house. And then the next day, I would take them all apart and start over. I get such a sense of satisfaction when I finish one that just works. Most of you would know what I am talking about. :) I thought I would end the week with a vignette roundup. These, whether minimal or piled with goodies, WORK. Vignettes baby!
I'm dreaming of a weekend in the snow. I'm sure winterphobe Kim will scoff at my hankering for the white stuff but snow is so much better when you're looking at it from the picture window of a renovated barn perched in a picturesque village high in the Swiss Alps. Rustic meets modern minimalism by Savioz Fabrizzi Architectes.
I adore this home. All that wood, the massive amount of art mostly leaning casually on the floor, the gorgeous kilim rugs and pillows, the burlap window treatments...it does not get much cozier than this. By Commune.
