Merry Christmas

I can't believe another year has swept by and here we are again at Christmas Eve. We'll be taking tomorrow off but we'll be back on Monday with two weeks of our favourite rooms. It's a chance to look back over the year and to see how our tastes or the trends have changed. Kim and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday full of family, friends and too much festive food. As for presents there's really only one thing I want this year and every year after. I'll let David Bowie and Bing Crosby explain ...

Modern and moody in black, grey and brown

I spotted this 1915, 400m2 home located outside Copenhagen on Bo Bedre and had to share because dark tones are EVERYTHING and this is how you do dark right. A Scandinavian modern vibe with moody tones of black, grey and brown, an eclectic mix of furnishings, and dark painted woodwork, this is pretty much my dream home. (Photos: Mads Mogensen)

A complete renovation of a tiny Parisian apartment

Paris-based interior designer Adrien Pillay sent over some photos of one of his projects - the renovation (and decoration) of a tiny late 1800's 365 sq ft apartment, and the transformation is incredible! (Photos: Anaëlle Le Roy). I love when we are sent before photos, and in this case it really showcases the amount of work involved in this project.
