Working on a Saturday
I have two huge days at work ahead of me. A wedding, a breakfast, a birthday high tea with a complete reset for each. It's times like these I wish I worked in an office again instead of catering and events planning. Cue the daydream music ... perhaps an office like this one by Danish design firm Søren Rose Studio.
Dark inspiration
This weekend marks the last long weekend of the summer, and I am totally depressed about this. GAWD I hate winter! To distract myself, I have been thinking alot about my new house, and still pondering paint colour ideas. I am still completely hung up on the idea of going dark throughout my house, so I thought I would share some more inspirational photos (check out my last couple of posts on this subject here and here). On a side note, it is hard to find dark spaces that are not just boring black!)
Wallpaper love
Farrow & Ball is launching four new wallpapers on Monday that are inspired by Japanese craftsmanship, and they are stunning! I have wallpaper on the brain - wondering if I should include some in my new house. This first one is my favourite. I would love it in my dining room, or bathroom, or hallways...... (P.S. Each is available in 5 colourways, from soft neutrals/earth tones to brights/metallics)
(I had this post ready to go and two minutes before it was set to publish a cute Fedex guy came to the door with a box containing samples and a sweet little notebook! Perfect timing!)
