Traditional with ocean-course views

I came across this generously sized home recently and it is allllll kinds of pretty! Designed by Alabama based interior designer Tammy Connor, this is a beautifully refined take on traditional/transitional/whatever you want to call this. I'd like to call it warm and inviting, carefully curated and picture perfect. I would frankly be quite content with just the kitchen. That tile is glorious. (Another project can be found here) P.S. I'm a bit short on pet entries this week. If you have some send them my way: kim[@]desiretoinspire[.]net, or hashtag #DTIpetsonfurniture.

Inside Out House

I don't know what I love more. The wonderful window seat opening the house out to garden or that kitchen. Love that black display wall. Inside Out House by Breathe Architecture.

In another life

In another life I live in this fabulous house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles. In another life that imposing living room with its Hans Wegner chaise and Serge Mouille lighting is mine. The chandeliers, the vintage finds, the deeply moody wood panelled den, the extravagant bathroom and that garden room, oh that garden room. In real life it belongs to Brigette Romanek who, along with Estee Stanley, is the creative force behind Hancock Design.

An explosion of colour

I tend to use non-neutral colour in my home subtly, but the homeowners of this 190 sq m house in Norway have embraced colour in bold and playful ways. That's why I wanted to share this home. I love to see people decorate to suit their personalities and to have fun with it (pretty obvious by the sign in the entryway LOL) instead of following trends and taking it too seriously. Working on a Saturday

What is it that I'm always going on about? Something to do with dragging yourself into work on a weekend? Are yes! It helps if it is somewhere stylish. (Dark and moody with a jungle of indoor plants helps too.) Slack Melbourne Office by Breathe Architecture.
