Stalking in the snow
Winter here in Australia, a land more often associated with sun and surf not winter and snow. Today I'm stalking in the high country of Victoria and the resort village of Dinner Plain. Welcome to Under the Moonlight designed by Giovanni D’Ambrosio. It's a contemporary (and expensive) take on the traditional cattlemen's huts of the area.
"Perched on the edge of an alpine reserve in Dinner Plain Village, part of the highest approved freehold land in Australia, the home is located just 10 minutes from down hill skiing at Mount Hotham. Featuring extensive 8 x 9 sq metre glass panels, sweeping alpine views are drawn in to the interior of the home, which also features a 20 tonne cantilevered fire place made of local stone."
Forget the stone fireplace look at the bathroom! A divan perched beside the spa. Dark and decadent. This is definitely a bachelor's pad in the snow, no? A sexy private après-ski lair. Glühwein anyone? Link here while it lasts.

Love the use of stone. Also like the interior colors and fabrics!
Just back from Dinner Plain, the word from the locals is that its concrete slab is sinking, takes a week to heat and it's back on the market, wonder why!!
And others are lucky to be living in tents. This is just wrong on so many levels.
I like this, but what does it have to do with stalking animals.
I feel absolute peace in this. Forget the obvious wealth.
Absolutely Amazing. Fell in love with the windows and the fireplace!
Beautiful, but cold and hard to heat

Amazing architecture, I'll grant you that. But those high cielings and huge glass surfaces... isn't it a nightmare to heat the place?
man i wish that was my house

I love this house! A wonderful design with a great mix of rustic, industrial and modern. Well done!
Ok I'm ready to live there.
Nice spaces and use of matherials. Even with the huge presence of the glass, which allows wiews and light, the house looks warm and protective.
OMG!! Wat a beautiful architecture!! :)
Nice design. But for me a house should be modest and welcoming, not dictating.
spectacular designs and concept
Looks like a doctor's surgery from outside. Would be sickly hot (or dark) inside in the summer. Doesn't look the slightest bit heat efficient or spacially efficient. Hope it didn't cost as much as i expect it did. I'm not a fan at all.
love the use of materials!
amazing views. could you imagine how wonderful that bedroom is?
