Caryn Grossman

Caryn Grossman of CG Creative Interiors emailed us recently with photos of her absolutely incredible home and design studio in Atlanta that I am SO EXCITED to share. It's located in an old telephone factory listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. I love what Caryn had to say about it in her email: "What I love most about the spaces in the building is that they are left raw -- old concrete floors, peeling walls, columns and beams -- so that every artist in the building can create their own imprint. Mine is like an ever-evolving installation, a kind of bohemian Paris apartment. To me, home is a place where my mind, and my hands, just wander free. And I love it." I LOVE IT TOO!!! She constantly changes things around, and a friend of hers calls it a lab because she's always experimenting with just about anything. It's so funky, dramatic, creative, feminine and, well, HOT. So here we go, a tour of Caryn's pad. (I can feel the pangs of jealousy from y'all already, and mine have yet to subside.)

Absolutely beautiful!! So gorgeously put together, full of details which my imagination just gets lost in! Love the sunlight through the clear side table, the wealth of fabric and texture and I love the frame in the bathroom, crossing through the mirror and over the sconce - so inspiring!

Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much. I love antique fabrics, the personality in antique objects, the stories behind found treasures. Also...love the modern steel with old door, carved frame, etc. All the photos are alive, exciting. Trish

Wow! That woman has style! It makes me want to shake things up in my house now! I love how she uses empty frames in her spaces.

This woman could leave dirty dishes and clothes on the floor and have the pictures show up in Vogue. I hate shots arranged for visual impact -- I don't think squashing objects together to make a fireplace or landing inaccessable, then adding a spotlight, is useful as a template for other decorators or attractive. Then, there are the exceptions. The brilliant architects of their surroundings. I can believe she lives like this, and that the glorious wreckage is both comfortable and liveable. The list of designers I'd trust over myself is very short -- but now there's a name on it!

This is absolutely beautiful. So many inspiring details. I love the big empty frame in one of the bedrooms and the books and the flowers in the stair...just to mention a few things...
