Florence Broadhurst and international inspiration.

I had to share this fabulous email just in from Nadia Klaczkiewicz, Brand Manager, Signature Prints.

Hi there,
I was just looking at some Florence Broadhurst products as featured on Design to Inspire and thought you might be interested in some work that Signature Prints has been doing with Florence Broadhurst designs internationally. We’ve had a really massive year – being featured in TIME Magazine, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest and more. We’ve been working with island resorts, showrooms in the U.S. and nightclubs in the U.K.

Our website shows our collections in full but wallpaper and fabric is at its dynamic best insitu ...... (these images) show the Florence Broadhurst L.A. showroom launch and book signing event held during LA design week at Woodson and Rummerfield's House of Design. Located on La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood California , four suites in this spectacular showroom were completely installed with customized Florence Broadhurst wallpapers. Upholstered furniture featuring the first display from the new woven range was also installed.

High profile US interior design magazines Architectural Digest and Veranda (among others) were in attendance, alongside the high profile celebrity crowd that are among Woodson & Rummerfield’s regular clientele.

This is a work in progress that is due to be completed on the 26th of September: Madame Jo Jo’s (8-10 Brewer St, London W1) the internationally renowned entertainment venue situated in the heart of London’s West End has established itself as the capital's main destination venue for discerning music lovers by programming cutting edge live performance and progressive promoters & DJ’s. Signature Prints CEO David Lennie met Paris Tkaczyk of Madame JoJo’s in 2005. Paris has spent 18 months searching for a wallpaper to inject life into the Madame JoJo’s reception area to no avail. Hunting for something that would complement the dynamic and opulent history of the venue she then discovered the libraries of Signature Prints. She and David began working together, looking through the Florence Broadhurst archival designs (many of which had not been printed since the 1970’s). After two years of development and sampling the potential for Florence Broadhurst designs to revolutionise the space was obvious and the plan to limit the refurbishment to the reception area was abandoned. Florence Broadhurst designs are now being fitted out throughout the entire venue, including woven jacquards for all upholstery, wallpaper for the walls and ceiling of the two story nightclub and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, wallpaper on the exterior wall of the venue! The featured designs are Florence Broadhurst's ‘French Fountain’, ‘Butterflies’ and the spectacular ‘Exotic Birds’.

On September 26, Madame JoJo's, newly refurbished with Florence Broadhurst wallpaper, will be the venue for a Signature Prints design week party celebrating the life and designs of Florence Broadhurst - guaranteed to be ‘the’ party of the London design season.

Thank you Nadia!! Click on the pictures to enjoy them in their supersized lusciousness. My favourite? I'm mesmorised by the wall covered with Solar wallpaper from the Concepts Collection.

P.S. Do you recognise those sexy lucite ottomans in the first and third pictures? They are the creations of designer and fellow blogger Jordan Cappella. Check out our post on him here.

I am so happy Nadia sent us these photos because they are STUNNING! The prints are incredible. That wallpaper is my favourite too...it's so bold and graphic.

Love everything in the Woodson and Rummerfield photos. The black chair is so glam. It would be nice to see more of the nightclub but it is so 70s and deco at the same time.

How VERY fab - I had my hen night at Madame JoJo's ten years ago this year. Now I definitely need to go back...(I love how Nadia doesn't mention that Madame JoJo's is mostly famous for its transvestite cabaret). Having read the Florence Broadhust book I think she'd be delighted her designs were being used there.

Hey Jo,

The ottomans in the black and white Florence print fabric are my designs. My collection is sold at Woodson & Rummerfields.

Jordan of course they are yours!!! OMG you are so talented. Gorgeous gorgeous! And that's the corner of your lucite chair in the bottom right of the third picture too. I'm off to fix the post.

Paola too funny. I knew it did burlesque but transvestites as well? I definitely want to go to Madame JoJo's now and not just because my nickname is JoJo.
